42: Getting the exact message, right when we need it.

Aaaahhh if only this week were different from the prior weeks!  But alas, in fact this week has had no shortage of hurdles, challenges, and deep contemplation about what I am doing with my life.  And if you have followed my writing or my podcast for any period of time, you have heard me say, “Surround yourself with the right people, as they have a tremendous impact on your life.”  This week, there was also no shortage of that either.

In today’s podcast you heard me talk about the fact that I haven’t seen a movie in a year.   And since the Oscars is a BIG DEAL  in my family, not knowing a single nominated movie… was, well…. horrible.  It made me realize just how out of balance my life has become.  Sunday night, I contemplated the sustainability of this podcast and the amount of time it takes each week.

It is in these moments where we are reminded of the friends that we have carefully chosen, as they have such an impact on our life.  Little did I know that I had an email waiting for me from a good friend, Marvin Doster, about the gratitude I must have for my podcast.  He went on with the reasoning behind why I am so blessed to be interviewing really amazing people… and he was right.  Right message, at just the right time.
